gas stove should be installed by a licensed gas technician. fridge water line could be DIY or a handyman. But a licensed plumber could be better.

Can the installation of gas range DIY?

If you aleady has a gas range, you can DIY replace old range with new as long as gas line already connected. But if you don't have gas ranger before, a new gas line should be installed, usually from basement to first floor. This has to be done by a licened technician. You may have insurance problem if diy.

Can the installation of gas range DIY?

Even through you are a handy man, for insurance purpose you cannot DIY install gas range. Gas range is required to be installed by person with license.

The best way to find a licensed gas range installer is to grab one from the construction site near around- you pay cash, he does the work...Sears asked me $200, I paid a guy $80 to do the job...























and don't ask me the guy's contact info, since that is 5 yrs ago...
