The unit is jailbroken with Pwnage, firmware 2.2.1. I have installed Cydia so you can download many, more of the free apps that you want, not just the ones from the iTunes app store. The baseband version is 02.30.03. Of course music from iTunes is wonderful, with the headphone's and the GPS you can enjoy your tunes while you find your destination.
