have completed, by September 30 2009, a university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, or Mathematics and Computer Science; or in Physical, Life, or Social Science combined with an acceptable number of courses (normally 20 one-term courses) in mathematics or statistics at the university level, of which at least 5 courses must be in stastistics
have a good knowledge of mathematics and statistics (e.g., probability theory, mathematical statistics, data analysis, sampling theory, survey methodology)
demonstrate the ability to identify methodological problems associated with survey development and data analysis
demonstrate the ability to resolve statistical and methodological problems and to apply statistical methods to practical problems associated with survey development and data analysis
communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English or French;
show effective interpersonal relationships and tact, motivation, initiative, reliability and good judgment.
Did you try some polling companies? I know there are a few of them in Canada, but their names escaped now. They normally pop up during the election times.
