Strongly suggest everyone not to use ACANAS internet.

We registered on May 4th and there was a promise to activate within 3-7 business days! We received the router last Thursday and connected it to phone line in the night. So far it is still NOT WORKING!

Called five times in the last 4 days, all the phone receiver sounded like answering two phonecalls at the same time and always lost their voices:
First time to technical support. They claimed didnt receive apartment number and have to delay the activation for another 4 days (what an excuse).

Second time to the sales. promised to send a urgent request to activate but no signal so far at all;

Third time to another sales. This lady talked in an extremely rude manner saying we had to wait for another 5-6 business days until next week... refused to transfer the call to her supervisor until we argued with her for 20 minutes... then waited for another 20 minutes to have a chance to talk with the "SUPERVISOR' who told that they have to reply on the BELL guys to activate and nothing could be done. and this guy's voices just disappeared during the talk.

This company required prepayment for a whole year's fee and provided such a poor service so roughly at the same time.

If it is IMPOTENT to provide the service, two options: either get out of the market or go to other countries to fool other customers.
 
I haven't problem with them. I got the modem, and connect it to phone line wait one or two days until the modem get dsl signal, setup model, input the password. every things fine. Good luck. Enjoy the cheapest internet service.
 
很正常 一分钱一分货 acanac是rogers的价格的1/2,服务当然打折扣
 
1. LZ你在申请之前应该调查一下的,这个公司的网络是租用Bell的线路的,安装一类的事情,跟他们是没有任何关系的。Bell折腾你,这个Acanac也是没办法的
2. 他们这个公司的客服服务必然是很差的,因为他们费用便宜,所以还是比较推荐给懂行的人用的
3. 你对他们服务不满意的话,可以在30天以内完全退款的
 
我一直用ACANAC, 感觉一直很好啊. 我觉得如果你自己懂得一些电脑/网络知识的话, 用这个会很好, 因为不需要什么问题都找客服.

普通用户而且不在乎多花点钱的话, 可能BELL会好些. 也只是可能啊. 我当年搬个家, 没搬多远, BELL花了一个多月才让我重新有网上, 虽然他们承诺的是3天.
 
I also use Acanac for 9 months, super fast activation and no issue at all.
You are not lucky.

en, 我用着也还可以,已经是第二年了,不再便宜了。 其他的二线DSL服务商也全是用Bell的线路,但是只有ACANAC提供绕过 Traffic Shaping 的免费解决方案。
 
Enjoy the cheapest internet service.

It is debatable whether it is the cheapest. One of the tricks ISP like to use is giving the cheap price, but give you the lower speed than advertised, because most time, you couldn't prove it.

Like the cia.com, all these third tier ISP companies just rent the pipes from Bell or Rogers, they made their money by providing the cheapest and least service possible. In fact, the technical stuff actually are from the bell or rogers.

All they have are mostly phone supports. In the early day of cia, it was almost impossible to call some body there. Acnanac will be the same. Once they grew up, the service hopefully will be improved.

The problem LZ has may just be the activation, so give them a few days to sort it out.

先检查下MODEM DSL信号亮了没有,如果亮了,说明他们已经给你开通了,你就可以配置你的ROUTER。如果DSL信号一直没有,你再打电话说根本没有信号,是他们的问题。其实,ACANAC性价比还是不错,没什么可抱怨.

Yes, this really sucks.

Give them a few more days, and if this problem persists, call Acanac as 热狗 said, cancel the contract. If you paid by credit card, call the card company up to get them to reverse the charge.
 
与其生气和打电话,不如把你那个modem的状态描述一下,让大家帮你看一看。
那个DSL的灯是一点都不亮,还是不停闪烁?
重新接一下各个接头,换一条电话线,换一个电话接口试一下。
