为什么美国的二手车比日本韩国的便宜那么多呢？

是同档次车相比吗？日本车就算了，把韩国车也加进来有点牵强。比如我在网上很容易找到：

Hyundai Accent MSRP: $11,070 - $15,870 （新车）
2008 Mileage: 12,574， Price: $12,995

Chevy Aveo MSRP: $11,965 - $15,365 （新车）
2008 Mileage: 27,693，Price: $12,900

没有看到大大的差别呀！你要是非拿Chevy Aveo与Hyundai Genesis相比，那差别肯定是大大的。

US car. except few model which is based on Japan car like pontiac vibe, old ford escort would have problem here and there after 5 years and basically finished at ten years.
Japan car start to have problem at 10 years and usually the problems is easy to indentify and fix, with some fix it would last 15 years.

是啊，所以我给你标价格的时候是标的新车（2009）和第二年（2008）都开了两万多mile时的价格。

MSRP差不多的车，新车时就差别就非常大！
3万上下的车，新美国车成交价比MSRP低4000~8000是很正常的。若是这个原因的话，两年后比以MSRP买的同价位倭车比低3000，那个“保值”不言自明。

I drove it to Toronto and came back last week, it works very well! -- With full loaded of table, books,etc, drove for 429km and only cost 26lit gas! (about 16.5km/lit or 100km/6.06lit!) -- It gave me a big surprise! I wanted to change this car, but, now, I am hesitated......

It is highly depend on owner maintenance. American car is generally cheaper to buy, cheaper to maintain and good value for your dollar. If you take care of your care gently, it takes care of you. I have an American car that is 10 year old. no problem whatsoever with regular maintenance.
