I did not cover my AC last year either and do not have problem with AC
now. If your AC is too old, it may make sense to replace one. Call
some companies for a price at first. If it is too expensive, get a new
one.

中央空调的机器在后院，去年冬天，我没有盖上。
有人建议冬天要用块木板盖在上面你挡雪的。
现在空调不工作。我检查了地下室的electrical panel，swith是on。
thermostat我设在17度，外面的空调也不转。
还有什么别的需要我检查的吗？
还是空调根本就坏了，就因为我冬天没用木板盖一下？
请问谁知道是什么原因？或者谁能修理？要多少钱？

On the thermostat，set the fan to "auto", set the function to "cool", set the temperature to 23-25 when you are home and set to a higher temperature while you are away from home.
