Internet provider

Can someone recommand a good internet provider? Acanac is not stable at all, anyone has good referals?

I saw an internet provider recommanded by Nortel employees a couple days ago in this forum, but I cannot find the post.

我现在用cik的dry loop dsl + voip。基本没法用，电话基本不通，下个emule才100k，上传10k都不到的情况下，打开网页就很慢了。准备换rogers，不知道p2p是不是block了。

p2p is blocked for both rogers and dsl (sympatic) 100k is not bad at all.

非常感谢各位的回复， 我今天差点和CIK 签了。还有个问题， 我没有LAND LINE 电话，用的是ITALKBB， 这样NCF是不是不行…

问题就在这里了，你用的 ipphone，只要你用电话或有电话进来，internet 就会 off，如果不是 static IP 也会有这个问题，你可以试用 phone filter。DSL 有个问题，用户如果离 server centre 远就会影响 download and upload speed。

我电话线上只有dsl，voip直接从voip modem出来进电话机，不存在干扰，phone filter应该不用。
来装dsl的是bell的technician,central office就在马路对面，距离很近，而且cik和bell的都测了接入速度，没有问题。 但是用起来就是不行。 (以前用videotron，emule下载几百k，同时在电脑上打voip，一点问题没有)

你的情况，看来最好是转回videotron， 因为你已经实际验证过了“emule下载几百k，同时在电脑上打voip，一点问题没有”

Acanac

I'm using Acanac more than 2 years over DSL. No complain.
Acanac High Speed Internet. Low Cost DSL and VOIP Service

Speedtest download/upload at 4.5M/500K

Emule at 80K-300K. No limit. But Ip phones were down if emule at the same time. Run 2 VoIP lines without emule.

I think the problem is caused by bell line.

不需要 phone line filter，你的 voip modem 是接在 cable 上的？那你是用的 dry loop dsl（naked dsl），看样子问题还是一样的。如果你的 voip modem 是接 phone line 上，你还是得用 phone line filter。central office 在马路对面不等于 server centre 就在马路对面。

我的进线直接进modem，没有进house的phone line wiring. server centre就是在马路对面。bell测速没问题。但是据说bell机房dslam的卡是5M的卡。
anyway, i think i will move back to cable very soon.

用 3web ( cia.com: The Freedom of Choice )的cable high speed internet 吧。 10M/1M (DL/UL), 不限流量。

曾用过3web的voip, 质量比Acanac的好太多了！

3web提供adsl和cable两种接入服务，是rogers和bell的reseller, 都是10M速度。Acanac还是5M.
