Several employees who work with Drive Test Ontario are facing charges of fraud after Toronto police uncovered hundreds of false identities were being distributed.

Police say people were able to receive Ontario Driver's Licenses with false names printed on them. More than 160 pieces of false identification were then used to gain credit and to obtain other official government documentation.

Investigators also allege that 140 additional "suspicious" identification cards were used to circumvent court orders pertaining to impaired driving charges and conditions of the Family Responsibility Act.
Each false identity has a street value of $5,000, authorities say.

After a three-month probe, Toronto police arrested four people and laid 14 charges in relation to their fraud investigation.
The charges include:

• breach of trust by public officer
• fraud over $5,000
• forgery
• conspiracy to commit indictable offence
• possession of property obtained by crime

Employees with Drive Test Ontario have been on strike since Aug. 21. The centres are responsible for issuing driver's licences and scheduling road tests for new drivers.

Police say four people, including two Ontario DriveTest employees, have been charged with fraud-related offences after driver's licences were allegedly issued under fake names.

Toronto police say they uncovered more than 164 fake identities that were used to obtain credit and other provincial and federal identification during a three-month investigation.

Police say another 140 identities have been deemed suspicious.

It's alleged that some of the IDs were used to bypass government regulations such as the Family Responsibility Act, while others were used to skirt court orders stemming from impaired driving charges.
Police say the IDs had a street value of about $5,000 each.

More than a dozen charges, including fraud, forgery and conspiracy, were laid against the four, who are residents of Toronto, Brampton and Orangeville.

安省驾照规定

如果你是安大略省居民，且年满16周岁就可以申请安省驾驶执照。

加拿大其他省的驾照可直接更换安省驾照。
根据国家间协议，美国、日本、韩国、奥地利、德国和瑞士的驾照可直接更换为安省驾照。

申请驾驶执照首先要通过笔试（理论考试）。

笔试分为两部分，包括交通规则和交通信号及标志，不考机械常识。
每一部分各有20道选择题，每一部分正确16题以上，就算及格。笔试试卷为多项选择题，如果不能通过，可以立刻报名参加第二次，费用为10元，或回去准备后再考，两次间没有时间限制，考试次数也没有任何限制。

通过理论考试以后，进行视力测试，便可取得"学习驾驶执照"，也称临时驾照（G1）。
如果你参加了正规的驾校课程，8个月以后可以参加路考，对于不参加驾校的初学者则要练习等待至少12个月。

路考通过后得到可以无教练陪同、单独驾车的驾照（G2）了。

再过12个月，将通过一个包括高速路驾驶的全面路考，合格后，得到正式的（G）驾照。
G牌持有者在驾驶时拥有更多的权利。 路考主要是考察你的安全驾驶意识、对交通法规的理解和驾驶技术的熟练程度。

如果你已有其他国家的有效驾照并有两年以上驾驶经验，则可在通过理论考试后立即申请正式G驾照的路考，如果通不过，则可由G1直接参加申请G2的路考，而 不必等很长的时间。如果驾驶经验超过一年不满两年，可直接由G1参加申请G2驾照的路考。如果驾驶经验不足一年，则必须满足安省对G1驾驶员规定的驾驶实 习期后方可申请路考。

作为普通的驾驶者，主要是下面几种车牌
G :任何car, Van, 小型卡车，或者有拖车但总质量不超过11000千克，拖车部分不超过4600千克。
G2:可以驾驶任何G牌允许的车型，可以上任何G牌允许的高速、全天24小时、全年365天都可以开车。
G1:学习牌照。

安省交通部对持有中国驾照者，有如下规定：

【1】中国各种类型的驾照不论驾龄多长，均不能直接换发加拿大驾照，都要经过笔试和路考才可以拿到加拿大驾照；


【2】中国驾照上有一年以上驾龄，考完G1后不需等待12个月或8个月，可直接考G2;


【3】中国驾照上有两年驾龄以上，考完G1后，不需等待，可以直接考G，但是仅有一次考G的机会，此次通不过G牌考试，不能再立刻考G，必须从G2考起。
