You may argue as follows:

After safely changing from the left lane to the middle lane, I have been driving on the middle lane at the normal traffic speed (or follow the traffic flow) for more than 100 meters.

Then, I slowed down in order to change to the right lane.

After turning on right-turn signal, and making sure that the right lane was empty, I slowly merged to the right lane. However, I could not completely merge to the right lane because the car in front of me (on the right lane) slowed down.

This is the time when my car was hit by the other car on the middle lane who did not slow down while I slowed down to make the lane change.

normally, one should not slow down when change lane, however, in circumstance such as busy traffic in destination lane, it is acceptable to slow down, provided it is not slam on the brake, pls make sure state the busyness of destination lane to justify the first slow down.

exactly, that's what I think at first, too. I was just about to call 911 and report hit and run before I found him
but later he seemed to be cooperating in providing insurance info, etc. So I assumed he was about to tell the truth.

咱们中国人有句老话叫吃亏是福，很有哲理的．何况有时候是自己有错，只是不敢或不愿面对
在下有亲属犯过内似错，还有证人主动说对方没减速，但先错在在下亲属，在下认了，损失很多银子，但，从此开车平安，小心了嘛．
生活就是这样，要对自己的过错负责，否则心神不安，不合算
