从某种意义来说，在中国没有碰过车，是件好事情。从头在这里学，会完全按当地的习惯和规定开车。曾经有位同事，在国内拿了本子开过车，可在这里耗时近两年、前后考了七次才拿到Ｇ。

有多少年驾驶执照是一回事情，有多少年“驾龄”是另外一回事情。我认为，如果驾驶里程不在三万公里以上，还不能算成熟的驾驶。
会开车不难，开好车不容易。所谓的老司机可靠，就是路况判断准确，遇事处理得当，可以避免车祸或者降低发生车祸的机率。驾驶，是个熟练工种，需要的是经验。

在本村开车，同在其他城市相比，还是不难的。你的情况，让我觉得安省目前的驾驶执照“毕业”考试制度有必要。

同意上面有几个帖的看法，如果你们的孩子在车上，最好还是由有Ｇ执照的人开车。

As you said, new driver need to accumulate 30000KM to have the necessary experience and judgment, or say, feeling. But if I never can have a chance to practice, how can I accumulate that 30000 KM to be a matured driver?
And whenever I have to drive, I also have nowhere to place my baby. This is Canada, not like China, people got a million extended family members and relatives who are already ready to be a baby-sitter.

It is bizarre.

Class G1

New drivers of passenger vehicles learn to drive with six important conditions with a G1 licence. A new driver must hold a G1 licence for a minimum of 12 months before attempting the G1 road test. This time can be reduced to eight months if you successfully complete a Ministry-approved Beginner Driver Education Course . Drivers earn more privileges after passing their G1 road test.
As a G1 driver, you are required to:

• maintain a zero blood alcohol level while driving;
• be accompanied by a fully licensed driver, who has at least four years driving experience, and a blood alcohol level of less than .05 per cent, in case he/she needs to take over the wheel;
• ensure the accompanying driver is the only other person in the front seat;
• ensure the number of passengers in the vehicle is limited to the number of working seat belts;
• refrain from driving on Ontario's "400-series" highways or on high speed expressways such as the Queen Elizabeth Way, Don Valley Parkway, Gardiner Expressway, E.C. Row Expressway and the Conestoga Parkway;
• refrain from driving between midnight and 5:00 a.m.

I honestly do agree with what you said. And I'll tell other people exactly the same thing as you said if I was to give any comment. But I don't think driving school can train me for 30000KM.
Every driver has a time when they were not that experienced.
I've been and am now trying very hard to be a matured driver to ensure my own and my child's safety.

Thanks. Because I got my drive license from Quebec. In Quebec, Learning license driver (G1) need a person who has held a valid driver's licence for a passenger vehicle at least two years. I don't know it is 4 years in Ontario.

A learner's licence will allow you to put the theory about driving into practice and so develop the skills needed to drive a passenger vehicle on a public roadway in Québec.
When you practise, you must be accompanied by a person who has held a valid driver's licence for a passenger vehicle at least two years, and is able to provide assistance and advice. A probationary licence holder is not qualified to serve as accompanying rider.

But even if I can drive by myself, I'll still need to take my baby. Doesn't that sounds even more horrible?
Since I am driving alone, not matured enough ( not 30000KM yet for sure).

Anyway, would you or anybody else share some experience on driving or practice driving while you were not that experienced?

其实,LZ的问题可能就是 根本没有读懂他人在说什么 (或不愿去读懂)，完全按照自己的思维去考虑问题、回答问题
几位说得很清楚, G1 练车, 放孩子在车上太危险, 再大的困难也要克服, 生命危险呀,6.7年中国驾照不会开,还是危险呀,换道都不会,不危险吗? 如果那天那小伙子速度再快点,多危险呀. 如果是我, 得到的一定是教训,绝不会再那么放孩子车上练G1了

Things could be much different if you had a G2 license, I believe.
