Recommendation of a used car for $5000 - $6000

Can anybody give your thought on buying a good used car for that price range? I'll be using it mainly for daily commute, mostly on HWY.

GM Cars are much better then sucks japanese car. Driving in winter season, GM car is more safety then Japanese car. I don't like Japanese car at all. Personal choice.

just wondering, if GM cars are so good, why no one buy and this caused the GM to be reformed as a new company? isn't it that this is simply a demand and supply theory.

Ford and GM are much better in this year. If you are not sure about american car and japanese car, I suggest you by renting a car( both american and japanese), when you are driving, you will see.
