多伦多信息港(记者彭琳报道)：日光节约时间(Daylight Savings Time)将于本周末结束，多伦多警察发起iNavigait活动——新的行人安全计划(安全吉祥物“Chris Cross”将站在街上进行安全提醒)。

从周日凌晨2点开始，时钟就该调慢1个小时了。安全专家提醒，每年的这个时候，由于日光时间的减少，行人事故就会增加，特别是在傍晚。

多伦多警察中士Tim Burrows称，有时候任何人都可能成为行人，希望司机务必注意人们的安全。

到目前为止，多伦多今年共发生近1,400起行人被机动车撞击事故，造成23人死亡。
