Based on government hiring rules (pool staffing), you must be in a pool to be staffed for a position, so this is an important step before you are actually offered a job. Whether you will be offered a job or not depends on the positions available and the size of the pool (also background and position match). You may get an offer in the next couple of weeks or months. If not, do not worry, most of the staffing happens in the end of March or early April of each year (the starting of the fiscal year - budget). You can talk to the National Manager (or other title) to ask if they have positions that fit your background (in February or early March?). It is important to establish a good relationship with the manager.
