If you are still looking for a badminton club to join and you are living in or near Barrhaven area, you may want to read the following.
I have received the following information from a friend.
LDHBC is a recently created badminton club in Barrhaven area and they are accepting new members.
If you are interested, please contact them directly.
LDHBC MEMBERSHIP IS ALMOST 70% FULL....
Just a quick note to let you know that the Club's membership is almost 70% on its way to being full!
If you are still interested in joining the Longfields-Davidson Heights Badminton Club as a member, you are encouraged to mail in your completed Membership Application Form and cheque as soon as possible.
LDHBC STILL SEEKING FEMALE BADMINTON PLAYERS....
Also, we're really trying hard to ensure that at least 30% of the Club's members will be female, so please promote the Club to female friends, sisters, girlfriends, or wives, whatever your personal situation is, who might be interested in playing badminton at LDHBC. Beginners are welcome! At present we have only six confirmed female members, ranging from beginner to competitive, so it would be great to have at least 4 or 5 more female players in the Club.
HOW TO JOIN....
The Club's website at www.worldbadminton.com/ldhbc/ is now up and running, so you can go to the website for membership information and for the Membership Application Form, which can be downloaded and printed at the website. Please refer any interested badminton players you know to the Club's website, or refer them to the Club's e-mail address at longfields-davidsonheights.bc@hotmail.com so we can send them the Club Info and Membership Application Form e-mail that was sent out earlier.
LDHBC information is also listed on the ODBA website at http://www.badmintonottawa.com/LDHBC.htm, but the application form is not directly available there.
DEADLINE....
To apply for one of the remaining membership spots at the Club,please complete and sign the Membership Application Form and mail it along with your payment on or before Tuesday, December 15, 2009 to the address shown at the bottom of the form.
If you have already mailed in your application form and cheque just in the past day or two, receiving this e-mail from the Club only means that your mail hasn't reached us yet. The Club Executive confirms all mail received on a daily basis, so if it has been more than five days since you put your application form and cheque in the mail and you still haven't received a confirmation e-mail from the Club, let us know immediately at longfields-davidsonheights.bc@hotmail.com.
CONFIRMATION OF YOUR CLUB MEMBERSHIP....
Each membership applicant will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of his or her application form and cheque, and also confirmation of his or her membership with LDHBC.
Once the Club membership is full, any applicants who mail in their forms and cheques after the membership has been closed will receive an e-mail from the Club Executive with the notification that their application forms and cheques will be returned to them by mail.
