PCMCIA hard drive

Hi Gurus,

I'm planning to add a hard drive to my notebook so that I can install a Linux and boot from it. USB hard drive is not a option because the notebook's BIOs doesn't support booting from USB.

But it has a PCMCIA slot available, so I'm wondering if there is such thing as a PCMCIA hard drive? Basically a external hard drive connected to the notebook through PCMCIA port, and can't be recongized by BIOs.
