Did anyone get the "metro" today? Please take a look at the advertisement from Capital appliance & BBQ (back page). I am upset about their wording "Those Made in China BBQ's may look good but they don't last and you can't get replacement parts". And " Don't be fooled by those Chinese Knock offs... they don't last and they may contain lead!" When I checked their website. They do have BBQ that made in China. I am pretty upset when I read "Don't be fooled by those Chinese Knock offs.." Am I thinking too much?!:blowzy:

Can you send a letter with collection of signatures to newspaper/advertiser to ask for explanation?

That's a very good idea. But do you think they will care?

In today's Metro, there is an advertisement from Capital appliance & BBQ (back page) using the word like "Don't be fooled by those Chinese Knock offs... they don't last and they may contain lead!" I think that's racist remark. First of all, even the BBQ is made in China, it doesn't necessary mean it's Chinese Brand. Usually the company who owns that brand is Cananian or American company. I don't think it's appropriate to say Canadian or American Knock off either. Second, you can't tarnish other company's product by saying that they don't last and they may contain lead unless you prove so. Otherwise that's illegal competition. I'm very disappointed that Metro allows those racist remark on the paper and I hope that Metro will discontinue printing that ad right away.

Can you please post the scanned picture of that ad? So that we can have the real evidence. Thanks.
