关于波兰验房师的评论，请其他人说说你的感想，因为我将要找他验房
Used him once, not sure if I will again.
He is devoted and takes his time and seems to be thorough. But he spends too much time talking or complaining. I also find he focus too much on some cosmetics defects and sets the bar really high. His favourite parts are the cracks/space on top of the door frames, asking painting over the door lock holes etc. As I am afraid no builder in town is doing that. He would give you that "ha, told you so, your builder is a bunch of thuds. Thank God you hired me" look.
He seems to have grudgy over French speaking trades/contractors and pretty much every single builders. I find his language in the report is unnessarily abusive. Let's face it, if you do have a lot of good points, just lay out the facts and builder will fix the issues. I suspect he cuts and pastes in the report, and at one spot he forgot to replace the builder name to reflect that this report is for me.
I had to remind him a few things to be added to the report so that the builder can attend to, which are far more important than the ones he mentioned.
He didn't find out the following,
1. leaking furnace exhaust
2. leaking toilet
3. leaking main bathtub
4. a lot of ductwork in the basement are not property sealed, causing cold air loss in the basement, not fully transferred to else in the house, bedrooms in particular.
Having said that, he is very popular among Chinese homeowners, and know what to say to win your confidence. But bottomline is, it's your own house, and you can't 100% rely on him to find all the problems.
