今天打开邮件看到一年多没联系的朋友的求助信，希望通过西联汇款2300加元。邮件不是直接寄给我的，而是寄给她自己的信箱（可能是个群发信箱，我只是其中的一员）。大家看看这封信的真实度有多大。

Email scams are very prevalent these days. They start off with some enticing campaign, be it free cellphone etc. When you respond to it and start filling your personal details, they somehow raid your email address directory and start sending messages that look like they are from you. I fell into that trap recently and they started sending messages 'on my behalf'. Variations of that scam are many. Some are more devious than the others. So beware!!
