BTW, teahouse could be a potentially profitable business in North America including Ottawa.
For many Chinese, one problem is their English communication skill/capacity which will be required and may be essential if a successful teahouse business is intended since its exposure and popularity in the local mainstream population is critically important. For instance, how to communicate with the media including TV stations, news papers, charity organizations, and so forth so as to promote your business is just an example...
As the rise of China becomes a phenomenon in the world, and tea has really started becoming a health-conscious asset for many "fatty" westerners, plus English tradition is more or lesss on the back of people's mind (for White people, let alone the "Yellow people" like us), teahouse as a business has already had a solid footing.
Unfortunately, I am fighting my work daily so I don't have time to start or handle such a business. But, I do hope I can see teahouse spurt in Ottawa and beyond
