about meta tag

Hi, friend,

I want my web page can be found using search engine by entering some keywords, say, yaya001. i tried using meta tag, but seems not working. Anybody can help out? thanks very much.

This is what I have in my html file (with brackets ommitted)

META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="yaya001"
META NAME="description" CONTENT="This is all about myself"

The Meta format is correct. Did you register your URL to the search engines?
try submit your site at http://www.google.com/addurl.html

i registered http://members.rogers.com/yaya01 as the url at google, but still can not find my web page using google.

you think it would take a while for my web page get into google's index or i did it wrong?
