我彻底服了渥太华查停车的了

三个礼拜前，把车停在自己家门口的路边一个晚上。结果拿了一个罚单。说是什么winter overnight parking violation.如果积雪超过5-10厘米，晚上1-7点不许再路边停车。结果今天白天把车停在门口路边，又惊见另一个罚单，说是超过3个小时。我们这里是新区，到处一个parking的告示牌都没有。我怎么知道白天不能停超过3个小时啊。在这里住了一年多了，最近怎么突然这么多parking的规矩。看来买房子真是得买双车库的独立屋。这也太烦人了。

不知道渥太华还有哪些 residential area parking的整人规矩。太可怕了。

EXTRACT FROM GENERAL REGULATIONS OF BY-LAW 2003-530

Parking Prohibited - Whether Signs Have Been Erected or Not:

1. In excess of three (3) hours between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.;
   
   
   
2. within 300 metres of previous parking space within one (1) hour;
   
   
   
3. within 9 metres of an intersection;
   
   
   
4. within 3 metres of a fire hydrant;
   
   
   
5. within 1.5 metres of a driveway;
   
   
   
6. on a roadway which is 6 metres or less in width;
   
   
   
7. on any portion of a highway not intended for vehicle parking;
   
   
   
8. during snow removal and street sweeping operations;
   
   
   
9. angle parking is permitted on a highway where the angle has been designated by signsor markings on the roadway;
   
   
   
10. no person shall remain parked on any highway where there are parking meters unless such vehicle is parked entirely within the area designated as a parking meter space.
    

Stopping Prohibited - Whether Signs Have Been Erected or Not:

1. within a pedestrian crossover, within 30 metres of the approach side of a pedestrian crossover or within 15 metres of the leaving side of a pedestrian crossover;
   
   
   
2. within 34 metres of the approach side of a bus stop and within 18 metres of the leaving side of a bus stop;
   
   
   
3. within an intersection or crosswalk;
   
   
   
4. between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. within 30 metres of the approach side of a school crosswalk and within 10 metres of the leaving side of a school crosswalk and within 10 metres of the leaving side of a school crosswalk;
   
   
   
5. upon a bridge, within an underpass or within 30 metres of any such structure unless parking is otherwise permitted by signs;
   
6. on or partly on or over a sidewalk;
   
   
   
7. on the right side of the travelled portion of the highway, having regard to the direction in which the vehicle was travelling, with its right front and rear wheels parallel to and not more than 15 centimetres away from such a curb.

同情一下楼主，我在一个半年不到的新区，部分还在施工的地方，因为图方便，反方向路边停车，2个小时不到就被开了个罚单，可是其他人的车，正停反停，挡着driveway,side walk停都没事，

今天吓死我了。 上午在downtown差点吃了一张parking ticket. 零下18度啊， 那些人查的真勤！

周末去参加饭局，中午的局，11点多到，停在路边，下午4点出来，挡风玻璃上放了一张Letter size的纸，就是上面那个parking bylaw摘要。“好心”的邻居把3小时那句圈出来，旁边还写个City Will Come!
