About Us:
Clearford Industries Inc. is currently seeking a Chinese-Fluent Intermediate Civil Engineer. Clearford Industries Inc. is the developer of the patented Small Bore Sewer, a watertight small diameter wastewater collection system that provides servicing with superior operational and environmental performance at a significantly lower cost when compared to historic gravity sewers.

The Role:
•Work with other members of our design team on projects which have already commenced in China
•Provide design skills and report writing to assist our engineers on the successful completion of projects
•Provide technical support in the implementation of the proprietary wastewater collection system, the Clearford Small Bore Sewer system, and the selected wastewater treatment plant technology to supply our clients with turnkey solutions
•Most communication with clients will be through conference calls; however, frequent travel to China may be required in the initial project launch stages to bring our Chinese partners and their technical staff up to date on current technology innovations and the parameters
•Some site supervision may be required
The compensation and duration of employment will be discussed during the interview process.
About You:
•Strong communication skills
•Previous on-site construction experience and contracting experience
•Attained professional engineer accreditation or be able to qualify for Ontario professional engineer accreditation within one year
•AutoCAD proficiency is essential; must be capable of skillfully employing ACAD design tools
•Experience and/or an intense interest in water distribution and wastewater collection and treatment solutions
•IT skills, including proficient use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Suite software programs
•Technical writing ability to prepare project related reports/documentation
•Proficient in both English and Chinese languages (written and oral)
•International travel is to be expected, valid passport is required
•Capabilities in another CAD software (such as Microstation) design software
•Experience in municipal infrastructure
•Candidates with municipal water/wastewater experience in China are strongly encouraged to apply
