请问渥太华周边都有哪些小TOWN？

在渥太华有段时间，对渥太华比较了解，但是对周边的小TOWN一点都不了解，天气好了，想到周边的小TOWN转一转看看，如果知道的，请麻烦列出来，让大家对渥太华周边的小TOWN有所了解，周末也可以带着家人出去转一转

Lot of places:
Perth: nice pretty town. Go watch ladies' slippers, a kind of orchard only grown wild in an area not far from Perth. They bloom some time in spring.
Merrickville: Go see the canal lock, a little bit of shopping. Also a nice town.
Manotick: About 20 some miles south of Ottawa, also a pretty town.
Wakefield: North of Ottawa in the Quebec side.
You can google any of those places and find out if they have any special event before you go.

There is also a provincial park nearby called Murphy's Point Provincial Park situated right next to the Big Rideau Lake. I took a hike there once. Good place to picnic and look around. Should be pretty in the spring.

Dickinson's days from June 3-5 is a big festival in Manotick. It is worthwhile to go there. The Watson's Mill which is a flour mill operated by water current is a historic site. It is also a picturesque location.

In the summer, a steam train runs from Hull to Wakefield. You can also dine in the train. I haven't done that yet but according to those who went, the dinner was of gourmet quality. The route is scenic and you can spend a fefw hours strolling along Gatineau River in Wakefield. Do a little shopping and sightseeing.
