OTTAWA ---The Government of Ontario is investing $2 million to train women for jobs in the information technology sector, Dianne Cunningham, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, with Responsibility for Women’s Issues, announced.

The new Information Technology Training Program for Women is designed to help women participate in a sector with high employment prospects by providing them with the relevant training they need. The two new pilot sites, Rainbow Skills Development Centre in Ottawa and Community MicroSkills Development Centre in Toronto, will train up to 80 women this year for entry-level employment and apprenticeships in the information technology sector.

The program will last 38 weeks including 12 weeks job placement beginning at April 8.

It is unfair. Why is it just for women?

Just called this centre and was told that the program is offered to low-income family. So there is still no free lunch.

Sorry for XHW. But why not introduce it to your friends who belong to low-income family. And it is said that if you are unemployed now or just having a low-income part-time job and you can show your bank account with low deposits then you can approve yourself as low-income family. You don't have to give them your tax returen notice. So try again.
