Internet 1Mb/s is enough rapide for PPLV or other software of TV on line

Have somebody used Internet of 1Mb/s?
Internet 1Mb/s is enough rapide for PPLV or other software of TV on line?
Is it big difference with 5Mb/s?
Because we use Internet of 1Mb/s in almost area of China, and it is enough for movie on line and almost job. I don`t know it is same rapide here.

我这台无线54Mb/s上网都没有觉得特别快。（其他机器是100Mb/s.)
