LCD just a new monitor then ...

A stupid question, but what is the LCD? How much does a new one cost?

Not sure why, but my monitor is flickering. It is good for a few second, starts to flicker (bounce and shake), and after a few more seconds it is ok again. Anyone experience this before? Better yet, any solutions?
