you can also buy the USB-IDE cable from ebay. However,the one i bought doesn't work well (had problems from time to time when use it with MAC, haven't tried with Windows yet)

bought a 320GB Maxtor One-Touch before, but crashed within 6months. you don't want to know how much it costs to recover all those data. so i'd check out the brand, i.e. depending what you'll use it for, if it is for valuable personal data, i would choose quality over price. It's very painful...
