这个周末又在无聊的加班中度过了,下周准备去下面这个地方。我是第一次去,不知道怎样。
copied from another website:
ACCESS: Cross a bridge to Gatineau and take highway 148 west toward Aylmer.
Continue on highway # 148 north past Breckenridge. When the highway becomes
divided look for a crossroad on your right hand just as you pass in front of
The Old Town Hall of Luskvillle. Make a right hand turn onto this gravel
road and look for the sign Gatineau Park and turn left towards the Parking
lot of Luskfalls.
SUGGESTIONS: Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a tripod and an
arsenal of lenses and film suitable for a walk in the woods and some
landscape shooting. Macro lenses would be useful for some of the small
spring flowers, shrubs and tree flowers and leaves. A long lens would also
be good to shoot some of the migrating raptors in this area. The hardy can
follow the steep trail to the fire tower at the top of the escarpment.
LUSKFALLS & EARDLEY ESCARPMENT: The Eardley escarpment with its southwest exposure
and large exposed steep rock faces of granite and gneiss bedrock was eleven
thousand years ago the shoreline of the Champlain sea. This forms a heat
sink and shelter from the prevailing northwesterly wind that creates a
special microclimate favoring the early bloom of many spring plants. The
updrafts of air along the rock face are used by migrating raptors as soaring
ladders for their movement through this area.
