Ashcroft Homes drops plan for driveway across Byron linear park

Ashcroft Homes has officially withdrawn a controversial plan to build a driveway across Byron linear park for its convent redevelopment project in Westboro. Earlier this week, the developer asked the city permission — for the third time — to build the driveway, which would have served as a southern access route for the Soeurs de la Visitation convent redevelopment, located just west of Island Park Drive on Richmond Road.
