[问题] Does anyone know how to apply "Security Clearance"?

Most of the jobs in Government need candidates to have "Security Clearances". Does anyone know where and how to apply it? BTW, since I am new in Canada(I just arrived Ottawa last month), shall I need to apply it? Pls provide me any information if u know it. I do appreciate. Thank you. --Jorn

I just checked the "jobs" catagory, however, too many discussion items. Don't know where to start finding it...

The government will check your background once you won the competition. Sometimes they will ask you do a finger print in the RCMP office. The "security clearance" is just the level of security measure of the job natural. You do not apply it. For example, there is no way your can apply a job in national defence since you are not a canadian in last 10 years.
