Ottawa – On Monday February 10 and Tuesday, February 11, there will be traffic restrictions on Highway 174 westbound, near the Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard overpass, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
There will be no direct impacts to traffic, but commuters should anticipate potential delays due to the work. Posted speed limits will be reduced and staff will be on-site to ensure safety of the field crew and traffic.
This work is to facilitate borehole drilling related to the Orleans Watermain Link project which will see the reconstruction of roads, sewers and watermains along the alignment that will establish a large, secondary watermain to Orléans and parts of Ottawa East. This will create greater resiliency in the water distribution system for eastern portions of the city.
This project is an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
