City prepares bylaw to penalize transit drivers who ignore railway warning lights

The city will crack down on OC Transpo drivers who drive through railway crossings even though warning lights are flashing, according to a memo released Wednesday. It’s the latest response to last month’s revelation that since Sept. 18’s fatal bus-train collision in Barrhaven, OC Transpo buses have driven through that same crossing four times while warning lights were activated.
