据德国媒体报道，麦当劳承认在麦乐鸡和鸡肉汉堡中使用了以转基因饲料喂养的肉鸡，引发环境组织“唯利是图”的批评。

据《明镜周刊》网站报道，麦当劳致信绿色和平组织承认，由于“经济上可接受的”非转基因饲料供给不足，该公司使用的部分肉鸡是以转基因饲料喂养的。这也意味着，该公司已经打破了2001年时许下的“在欧洲市场上避免转基因饲料”的承诺。

“麦当劳关心的只有价钱，”绿色和平组织的李姆凯特女士（Stephanie Toewe-Rimkeit）对媒体评论称，“将来消费者吃的汉堡里会有转基因成分，虽然大部分消费者并不乐意。”

据该环境组织测算，就算不使用转基因饲料喂养的肉鸡，每个鸡肉汉堡的成本也仅增加1欧分（约9分人民币）。不过，麦当劳在承认这一新政策的同时也强调，这一改变将不会影响其食物质量。

Moreover, next year will be to feed McDonald Use beans proportion 'to achieve sustainable certification standards' raised to 100%, and continues to explore new sources of protein to replace the use of 'long shelf life' of beans in poultry feed.
