Ottawa – The party at Lansdowne Park is only a few days away! Residents and families will want to join the celebration on Saturday, August 16, as the City hosts a community picnic and fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is free and there will be an incredible array of activities and entertainment to enjoy throughout the park. Children will love the carousel and ferris wheel, not to mention the free cotton candy and popcorn. The celebration will also feature live music, craft-making, face-painting, chalk art, storytelling, sports, picnic games, wagon rides and a whole lot more. All activities are free of charge, and the park’s Great Lawn offers plenty of space to spread out a picnic lunch with the family.
Lansdowne Park is the place to be this weekend, rain or shine. Check ottawa.ca or call 3-1-1 in the case of severe weather, or follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for updates.
