Police in Cornwall are warning the public to carefully check their children’s Halloween candy after a sewing needle was found inside a child’s Halloween candy bar.
According to police, the child was not injured although the child did bite into the Coffee Crisp bar prior to discovering the needle on Nov. 12.
Police were immediately notified.
The incident comes about a week after a needle was found by an Ottawa child in a Halloween candy bar.
Police are investigating both reports, and cautioned parents to be vigilant in checking their child’s Halloween loot prior to allowing them to consume any treats.
