我觉得换个名词比较合适：份子钱。村里华人社区很小，红白喜事，愿意的出个份子钱。

Excellent... Thank you everyone.. It is very awkward to type English here but I am stuck in workplace now. What I wanted to do is to show the victim family that they are not alone and we are here to support. I don't think they would check the website right now and I trust everyone would respect the family and would do well in posting their condolences here.
No donations right now please as we need to focus on funeral tomorrow, which is limited to 20 individuals, including 8 coworkers and 6 family members and two officiates and a few friends.
I am a newbie to arranging this kind of even and I am confident we all, Riven, CCC, and Xiao zhuang etc, to name a few, will do it well.
