We’ll get our first glimpse of Ottawa’s 2015 New Year’s babies — they’re twins — Thursday afternoon.
The babies were born at 12:17 a.m. at the Civic campus of the Ottawa Hospital and have already been named: the first born is William, and his soon-to-follow sister is Clare.
Until their parents introduce them to us, check out these photos of Ottawa’s first babies going back to 2007.

JANUARY 1, 2011: Stephane Larouche and Jennifer Greenland were the proud parents of Ottawa’s first baby of 2011, Clara Larouche.
JANUARY 1, 2010: Faith and Yakob Woldeyesus with their New Year’s Day baby, Eyasu Yakob Mekonnen Woldeyesus, who was born 20 seconds after midnight at the Monfort Hospital. The baby weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was their first child.
JANUARY 1, 2009: Chun Li and Michael Bordovsky with eight-pound Allan Li-Bordovsky at the Montfort Hospital.
JANUARY 1, 2008: Ottawa’s first baby of 2008-Emilia Grace Bailey. Born at 6 lbs. and 13.5 ounces, she was the first child for her mother and father.
JANUARY 1, 2007: Maggie Rose MacCuaig, daughter of Philip Radzichowsky and Shannon MacCuaig.
