Temporary road closures on Riverside Drive continues overnight

Ottawa – Riverside Drive is closed to all vehicle traffic from Industrial Avenue to Tremblay Road due to a watermain break. Terminal Avenue westbound is also closed at Sandford Fleming Avenue.

Commuters are reminded to use alternate routes where possible.

Traffic Impact

Access to all Highway 417 ramps is closed from Riverside Drive northbound. All 417 off ramps at Vanier Parkway and Riverside Drive are open, but with Northbound access onto the Vanier Parkway or eastbound access to Tremblay only. There is no Southbound access to Riverside Drive and Industrial Road. Commuters can access the VIA Rail train station on Tremblay road.

Detours

Vanier Parkway Southbound: Access to Highway 417 is maintained. Turn East on Tremblay Road to St. Laurent Boulevard, then South on St. Laurent Boulevard to Industrial Avenue, and then West on Industrial Avenue to Riverside Drive.

Riverside Drive Northbound: Head East on Industrial Avenue to St. Laurent Boulevard, then either continue on Innes Road for Highway 417 access or turn North onto St. Laurent Boulevard to Coventry Road, and then West on Coventry Road to the Vanier Parkway.
