The annual Ottawa Valley Farm Show got underway Tuesday at the EY Centre near the Ottawa airport.
It’s one of the biggest trade shows held annually in Ottawa and this year attracted 360 exhibitors. The not-for-profit show is sponsored by the Ottawa Valley Seed Growers, and the 88th edition was expected to attract about 10,000 farmers and family members over the three days from Eastern Ontario, West Quebec and Northern New York state.

Machinery and seed dealers, financial consultants, farm lobby groups and related agriculture-oriented exhibitors are on site daily. Show hours for Wednesday are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Among the latest technology are robotics, drones and the newest in machinery.

At noon Thursday, the annual Pedigreed Seed auction will be held to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. More than $100,000 has been raised for CHEO over the past 20 years, organizers said.
