彭凯平：“信念固执”的人大脑前额叶的内侧前扣带回发育有问题，灰质容量比较小，无法处理复杂的矛盾信息，但这只是意味着他们更容易产生“信念固执”的倾向，并非一定会“信念固执”;更何况，有的人的“信念固执”是装出来的。
《新周刊》：这样可能会被过度解读为脑残?
彭凯平：过分相信阴谋论的人有时候是脑残引起，有时候是别的原因引起。是生理意义上的脑残，但说出来就显得政治不正确。
