A former mall Santa from Gatineau has been sentenced to 30 months for sexually assaulting three children.
The charges do not relate to his Santa job.
Lawrence Doris, 79, pleaded guilty Monday to a series of charges involving sexual assault and sexually touching minors.
The children knew him, and were molested over a period of 33 years — two victims beginning in 1980 and the third in 2013.
Some incidents took place at Lac Beauchamp, a park in Gatineau, but further details can’t be made public under a court order.
Doris spent one season as Santa at Les Promenades Gatineau on Maloney Boulevard. There were no allegations of misconduct involving children at the mall.
