A 32-year-old impaired driver was caught doing 128 km/h on Highway 148 in the Outaouais Saturday, police said.
The MRC des Collines police said the driver had just left his home and had driven seven kilometres toward Gatineau when he was stopped around 5:40 p.m.
A breathalyzer test revealed the driver had a blood alcohol content almost twice the legal limit, police said.
Police said the man’s driver’s licence was suspended for seven days, had his vehicle seized for 30 days and was fined $239.
The man is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 4.
