Some of the hardest roller-skaters in the capital region took to the hot concrete of Marion Dewar Place atCity Hall Saturday to show off their spot.
Members of the Capital City Derby Dolls and the Rideau Valley Roller Girls put on a lively display for several dozen fans, explaining the intricacies of modern flat-track roller derby.
The players mixed and match in a series of short games to showcase skills before putting on a full-contact scrimmage at the end of the afternoon.
