General Job Description of FAE Specialist
==============================
The FAE Specialist primary role is the technical selling and support of solutions at the system engineering level for the company's global and strategic accounts. This includes the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts and ideas. The FAE Specialist will be required to evaluate and conduct highly technical, detailed systems engineering analysis and studies on how to best proceed with a recommended solution. This will require a thorough understanding of the system level issues in the Specialist chosen field of expertise.
Additional, the FAE Specialist will have the ability to conduct technical seminars and demonstrations, very good customer relationship skills, and are highly self motivated. The FAE specialist will be required to lead a team of sales management, FAEs, and rep sales people in identifying and securing design wins for the global and strategic accounts.
As a senior level position, the FAE Specialist will be highly motivated, a self-starter, and require little in the way of day to day supervision.
Minimum technical expertise: 7 years
Minimum education: BSEE

Position A : SR Systems IO Specialist FAE
===============================
Architect, partition and specify system implementations
Evaluating customer requirements and positioning company's solution
Participate in the development and direction of new standards and
Intellectual Property Knowledge of high-speed I/O standards such as LVDS, Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, InfiniBand, XAUI, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express, etc. High-speed PCB design and analysis including transmission lines. Product presentations to major customers.
Requires expert proficiency working with gigabit I/O standards, signal
integrity and analysis, and ability to effectively position solution at the system level within customer base. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Experience with FPGAs, VHDL, and Verilog synthesis tools is a plus. Minimum of BSEE with 7+ years experience required. Extensive travel will be required.
Position B : SR Embedded Processor Systems FAE

Power PC architecture expertise.
Embedded real-time operating system (Wind River, Linux) expertise.
System-level software/hardware partitioning
Power PC peripherals and interface logic
Product presentations to major customers.
Requires proficiency working with Power PC, real-time operating systems, and ability to effectively position solution at the system engineering level within customer base. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Experience with FPGAs, VHDL and Verilog synthesis, and C/C++ tools. Minimum of BSEE with 7+ years experience required. Extensive travel will be required.
Position C : SR DSP Systems FAE

In-depth knowledge of direct hardware realization of high-speed DSP
algorithms. Expertise with MatLab and Simulink System-level software/hardware partitioning Expertise in one or more of the following:
Cellular, satellite and microwave communications, video & image processing, Product presentations to major customers.
Requires proficiency working with MatLab Simulink, and knowledge various wireless and/or video standards such as CDMA, UMTS, & HDTV. Ability to develop and partition algorithms in hardware and software, and to effectively position Xilinx solution at the system engineering level within the customer base. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Experience with FPGAs, VHDL and Verilog synthesis, and mathematical modeling tools. Minimum of BSEE with 7+ years experience required. Extensive travel will be required.
