A man in his 40s suffered serious head injuries and a broken upper arm after he fell three metres from a ladder at his workplace, Ottawa Paramedic Service said Wednesday.
Paramedics received a 911 call at 12:39 p.m. from a coworker who found the victim unconscious. The accident occurred on Dazé Street, a small road within the South Keys mall area near the Cineplex cinema.
The injured worker regained consciousness upon the arrival of paramedics and was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
