Ottawa police are looking for two suspects in connection with a Monday morning retail robbery on Beechwood Avenue.

Police say the suspects entered the unnamed store on the 0-100 block of Beechwood at about 1:30 a.m. One remained at the door while the second went to the counter and demanded cash.

The second suspect kept a hand in his pocket, suggesting he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen.

The men were given an undisclosed amount of money and they fled on foot towards Loyer Street.

The first suspect is described as Caucasian, 20-25 years old, about five-feet-eight-inches to five-feet-10-inches tall (173-178 cm) with a medium build and close cropped dark hair. He wore a black, baggy T-shirt with an image of “Tupac,” black baggy jeans and black running shoes.

The second suspect is also Caucasian and about the same age, slightly shorter with a medium build. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black baggy shorts below the knee, and white running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ottawa police robbery unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by downloading the Ottawa police iOS app.
