The Ottawa police guns and gangs unit is circulating the photo of a man who’s wanted in connection with a recent shooting in Carlington.
A 28-year-old man was shot twice in the leg July 9 at 1485 Caldwell Ave., and a 33-year-old man was beaten up in the same attack.
At the time, police said both men were known for drug-related activity.
The man now described as “a person of interest” is 20 to 25 years old with olive skin, between five feet, eight inches and six feet tall, approximately 200 pounds, with short, dark hair and a “pinch,” or short beard.
Anyone with information is asked to call the guns and gangs unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by downloading the Ottawa police iOS app.
