Gatineau police have barricaded the streets in a residential area in Aylmer and are investigating several reports of gunshots.
After receiving several 911 calls at approximately 1:05 p.m., Gatineau police blocked off avenue de la Colline, where the shots were allegedly fired.
Two people living in a house on avenue de la Colline were arrested at 1:45 p.m., after Gatineau police evacuated neighbouring houses.
Police said they are still investigating at the scene, and the roads remain blocked off until police can secure the perimeter.
