A couple of dozen graffiti artists, mostly from Gatineau but a few from Montreal and at least one from France, shook up their paint cans and painted some boards in the City of Gatineau’s annual graffiti competition Saturday at the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
The competition is meant to be both artistic and educational, appreciating tagging as a legitimate art form while respecting private and public property.
The winning works will go on display on the long Gréber Boulevard underpass beneath the city’s Rapibus line.
