A 38-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and other offences after a gun was fired in a family disturbance near Cornwall Sunday night.
Ontario Provincial Police said they were called to a home in South Stormont Township for reports of a domestic dispute.
Police said they arrived shortly after 11:45 p.m. to find that an adult man had been involved in a dispute with family members where he allegedly made threats and discharged a firearm.
The suspect was arrested and charged with multiple offences including, attempted murder, careless use of a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
There were no injuries as a result of the dispute.
The man is being held pending a bail appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld by police in order to protect the identity of the victims.
